AVS Verification on 360Works Plastic

Greetings!

Running into a problem with trying to use the Plastic plug-in and AVS Verification - or more precisely, trying not to use AVS.

Situation: Using Plastic with Authorize.net gateway. For a normal cc authorization, the script is passing address parameters for "address=", "city=", "state=", "zip=", and "country=". However, we want to put an option in to process cards without AVS information (limited only to management accounts and usable at their discretion) when we've tried everything and still can't get the address to pass AVS.

Unfortunately, when I try to run the transaction without passing any of the address parameters (the only additional parameters being passed are "verificationCode=" for the CVV and "invoiceNumber=" for our invoice #), Plastic returns the error message "The transaction resulted in an AVS mismatch. The address provided does not match billing address of cardholder." from CCLastError and "Address information not provided for AVS check" from CCLastAVS.

According to the manager administering the Authorize.net account, the rejection setting "U" ('Address information is not available for the customer's credit card') is unchecked, meaning Auth.net should allow transactions to run without address information. So I'm not sure why Plastic is returning "Address information not provided" errors.

Anyone have any idea what's going on, or some tips on how to run a transaction through Plastic without AVS?

Thanks!

Travis,

Check out the following URL for more information on AVS declines and Authorize.net.

Overriding an AVS or CCV Decline

The Plastic plugin simply processes the response it receives from the gateway. It is possible for the transaction to be authorized by your merchant bank and declined by the gateway due to AVS verification. Disabling AVS verification is a matter you will need to take up with Authorize.net directly.
