Newbies roduenas Posted January 4, 2010 Newbies Posted January 4, 2010 I would like to create a script that looks through all of my fields and lists any records that contain a particular word. I can do it manually of course by typing that word into a new find request but that is cumbersome. Is there a way to paste a word from the clipboard into the new find request? Or something like that? Thanks, Orlando
comment Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 Why don't you type the word into a global field, and have a script generate the necessary requests? See also: http://www.fmforums.com/forum/showtopic.php?tid/201295/fromactivity/mytopics/ (requires v.10)
Newbies roduenas Posted January 5, 2010 Author Newbies Posted January 5, 2010 I have now tried that, but I don't see how to get the text in my "Global Field" to "paste" into the desired fields in find mode.
