Cancel Print Setup does not set get(lasterror)

Featured Replies

When I cancel the Print Setup dialog box, get(lasterror) does not get set to 1.

Cancelling "Print" works correctly.

I have Allow User Abort set to off and Set Error Capture set to On.

This is happening on both 9 and 10 clients.

I have another database where Cancel Print Setup works correctly.

Any ideas?

I have the same problem, had given up trying to solve it ages ago.

But I'm interested in your saying you've another database in which it works correctly...

...don't suppose you'd fancy posting clones of both files and we'll see if we can find a difference?

James

It has always worked for me. I would be very interested to learn when it doesn't work! This would be important information!

I'll post the clones. Give me a day.

Sorry... never posted the clone.... but figured out the problem... YEA!!!!!

Apparently, this is a very old issue.

You cant have the restore option checked AND have the print setup (or print for that matter) capture an error if Cancel is selected.

Cancel will ONLY capture an error IF the restore option is NOT set.

Here is a link to where I found this information.

Cheers!!!

Wow. Requiring Page Setup twice certainly seems like a workaround. Thank you for taking the time to fill us in.
