danjacoby Posted February 10, 2001 Posted February 10, 2001 I see that I can create a script so that my "Help" file opens from the menu command -- but (apparently) only from the primary file. Is there a way to add this feature to secondary files?
DykstrL Posted February 12, 2001 Posted February 12, 2001 If all of your files are bound as the same solution, and the script is in the primary file, the "Help" script should work in all secondary files. We have been distributing a forms solution (with more than 250 form files) for 4 years (version 3, 4 and now 5). we developed a help file which also has a script to link to the regular FileMaker help file. We also have an "About" script. The Help and About scripts work in all of the solution files.
DykstrL Posted February 15, 2001 Posted February 15, 2001 Oops, I guess I lied about this. The custon "Help" and "About" only works IF the primary solution file is also open.
danjacoby Posted February 28, 2001 Author Posted February 28, 2001 OK, I tried that. Now the "Help" script doesn't work at all! The only thing that happens when I select "Help" from the menu is that the main file (which is hidden) comes to the front. What gives?
