Help with Merge Field in the body of a letter

I'm very new FMP10, teaching myself from "The Missing Manual" I have a merge field that shows the info from some records but nothing in others (in Browse or Preview modes) I've tried all I can think of. I would be glad to send the DB if need be. thanks raustin (Rich ...

Not exactly sure what you mean by a 'merge field'. Is this a calculation that references more than one field? Are there related tables involved?

It might help to try to recreate the essentials of what you are trying to accomplish in a new empty database, devoid of everything except the key elements that you are manipulating. Chances are you'll figure out the issue. If not you could post the simplified example here for others to comment on.

Sent Two PNG files to show what I'm doing.The feild name in question is the Incident location feild. the one above the last Paragraphis put in there to check to see if is working proper. the on in question is the merged one <> in the last paragraph

Every thing else work as it should
