Hi all,

Im sure this is simple but this is bugging me!

I have a script that does various thing which is all working but i want to finish the script by prompting the user that the record has been changed just by having a custom dialog saying the record has been changed but also to include some fields..

so in the message box:....

example:

you have associated this contact <> <> with the Company name <>.

the above is actually what is printed instead of:

you have associated this contact Joe Blogs with the Company name Some Company.

Thanks for any help in advance or if whoever responds needs clarity let me know..

You cannot use merge fields in dialogs. Just use the field names, as you would in any calc. Be aware of context.

For example:

"You hae associated this contact " & contact::firstname & " " & contact::surname & " with ...
