pug
I've created my runtime solution, but I want the runtime application to be able to find the USR files that I want shared. It seems that I have to redirect my runtime app to the shared volume everytime I want to run the runtime app. It doesn't save the filepath information. Is there anyway to point the runtime app to a batch of shared files?
Anatoli
You can host your runtime databases on Server and normal FM clients can connect to them.
pug
I tried that, I hosted the USR files on my Filemaker 5 server, then ran my runtime app and tried to find it via TCP./IP. No luck.
garhop
Nobunny, Troi has a "Files" plugin for a rather reasonable price. One of the many fnctions sets a default filepath which may be of help in your situation. They have a free 30 day evaluation (read full) version you can download at http://www.troi.com/software/fileplugin.html You might want to look at it. DykstrL
Runtime solutions are meant to be single user. They cannot share or host the files, nor will it connect to hosted or server files. FileMaker Server can host runtime files, but users need FMPRO 5.0 to connect to the server files.
