tryng to sort a set.

I haved a record lets say book title each, each title has a number of issues.

I will have multiple book titles each with its own issues

when i list now i get all titles and issues but want to just define my list to show only 1 title and related issues.

Any ideas to get me started? Ive tried sort lists, summary fields no luck.

Thanks in advance Lesjoko

Do you mean one book with related issues or all books with their respective issues?

For all books: On your layout use a subsummary part sorted by book title with the book title in it. Place the issue field in the body part. Show all records. Sort by book title. Enter preview mode.

HI thanks for the response, my problem is for multiple books and multiple issues therein.

When a user searchs booktitles I want to list the booktitles avalable(it will be dynamic as each user will have different titles), then as the user wishes to browse the issues under each title he clicks the link to allow only issues for the specific book.

As it is now with subsummary parts I only am able to get a list with all booktitles and the issues under them. I want to seperate each booktitle in otherwords on its own.

Efen again thanks its almost there i believe. I have tried to incorporate it into my solution. My skills seem to be a hindrance though. I have an example but its just to large for me to upload on this board(1.9megs). If you mail me at [email protected] i can mail you what i have so far if you dont mind tking a peek!
