Salesman0Gil Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 I can see other people running into this, so I wanted to post it somewhere. My company uses a very secure exchange server, that is actually run by my parent company. I have been trying to get the SMTP engine in Fm to work for about four months. Today I finally figured out the problem. Setup Name: "John Doe" Email Address "[email protected]" What I found is if you leave the name field blank in the SMTP options it works perfect. If you put the "John Doe" in you receive an error message "Email(s) could not be sent successfully" Using wire shark, I discovered that filemaker translate the above information as: FROM:<=?UTF-8?B?U2NvdHQgU2hlcndvb2Q=?=> The UTF-8 encoding is messing it up. I called filemaker and there is no way to change the character set that filemaker uses to send emails. They basically said your screwed so sorry, but we are still going to charge you $45 for your call.
El_Pablo Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 Hi, how do setup wireshark to listen to FM data transfert? I would like to know how FM11 import calculations. Thanks
