edjski Posted August 1, 2001 Posted August 1, 2001 What is the procedure for including unique (custom) fonts in a Runtime app? Do the fonts need to be included? Do they need to be put in a "System" folder within the Solution folder? What are the details? Thanks, Ed
SteveB Posted August 1, 2001 Posted August 1, 2001 The fonts do have to be included on your install disk, but this is handled by your installer package.
Anatoli Posted August 1, 2001 Posted August 1, 2001 Did you licensed the fonts, or are they from your production?
jwmickelson Posted August 14, 2001 Posted August 14, 2001 You should look at VISE Installer, it looks quite nice and will handle registering the new fonts before the user has an opportunity to run your solution. Also, you can make registry entries that will perform font substitutes in FileMaker Pro, look up Filemaker Pro in your windows registry/font substitutes for more info... quote: Originally posted by edjski: What is the procedure for including unique (custom) fonts in a Runtime app? SteveB Posted August 14, 2001 Posted August 14, 2001 The font files are included in the setup procedure, and installed by the installer in the Windows fonts folder. You just need to identify the font's actual file names. The fonts have to be in the public domain, which you can check on Microsoft's site. You might want to look at IndigoRose's Setup Factory. Its very easy to use and cheaper than all the other installers. You can probably layout the entire install in one day.
