LiveOak Posted September 5, 2001 Share Posted September 5, 2001 Which disk is it referring to? The hard disk? The CD? Some CD drives in some iMacs won't read some brands of writable CD's. The CD's capable of being written a high speed seem to be more problematic. It also might be a problem with the file structure on that iMac. Make sure you run one of the appropriate utilities (Norton, Diskwarrior, Tech Tool). -bd Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
DykstrL Posted September 5, 2001 Share Posted September 5, 2001 Try burning the CD at 2x or even 1x speed. It does make a difference with some CD drives. Also, some drives cannot read 700mb disks.
