Add an image file in the signature box of a letter

Featured Replies

Hello all,

Greetings from Seoul, Korea.

I'm trying to figure out how I can add an image file of my signature to the signature box in a letter layout with merged fields.

What I've done:

1. Insert the text with merged fields throughout

2. Added the image of my signature as a .jpg in the signature box. I did this by going into the Insert menu and selecting 'picture.'

*Since the length of the letter varies according to the information in the merged fields, it often ends up under or over the text.

Is there a way to format the image so that its placement easily adjusts according to each letter without losing uniformity in line breaks and such.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

First, don't add your signature as a "picture". You want a container field on your layout that you can load your jpg into. Place it under your text field (which should take up most of your layout print area), then right click on your container field and Check out "sliding and printing". Play with that until you get it to do want you want, usually "slide with all above" should do the trick. This way, if your letter reaches its maximum length, the signature will not be over the text, or if it's a short letter, the signature will slide up, still underneath your text.
