I have had the following happen on 3 different computers (30 users total)

The objects on the layout disappear (boxes, buttons, logos).

The data is visible and pull-downs etc. work.

We have re-installed the client (FM 8.5) on each computer.

Have restarted the hosted databases on FM server.

Still no success.

Would this be corrupt hosted files?

Are you using Global Fields for these?

Would this be corrupt hosted files?

If so, Global fields become Local to the user in a served environment.

Are you using FMP 8.5? What OS are you using? 8.5 is old and will not be compatible with the current OS Mac or Windows.

No global fields

Using XP FMP 8.5

Only 4 users out of 30 are affected.

Repeated re-installs has helped but a day later the problem returns.

When created a simple local file with 2 text fields I could not select the fields or labels in layout mode
