Find button without the toolbar

Featured Replies

On my layout I have a drop down menu that displays values from a value list. Currently I can go into find mode select a choice from the drop down, then hit the perform find button on the FM toolbar. I want to mimic this with one custom button. I would like the user to select their choice then hit the custom find button. (Status toolbar will be hidden)

It seems like it would be easy but I can’t seem to get it to work.

Thanks in advance

Have you seen QuickFind in FM11?

FM SearchResults looks great, but sadly we can't spend the money on it. I will give FM11 trial a go tonight.

Or...use a ScriptTrigger onObjectExit on the popup menu. See, http://www.nightwing.com.au/FileMaker/demosX/demoX02.html
