mattc
When binding a database to run on another machine, the "Use System Defaults/Time & Date" appears. How can you overide this. I have a startup script in place & have tried to use the set error capture feature to no avail. I want it to automatically use the new systems time & date settings. Thanks Matt
anita hamis
Dear Matt, You should create a start up script that uses the system format script step(its under files) set it on, and this should overide the message. The file will automatically use the current system formats for that particular computer. anita.
DykstrL
Actually, the 'Set Use System Formats (On)' will give the user a message the first time the file is opened if the system formats are different than what was on the original machine that last accessed the file. I don't think there is a way around it. The message will only come up the first time, after that the file will automatically use the default system formats.
