michele Posted January 14, 2002 Posted January 14, 2002 I've made a runtime version on a Mac and it doesn't work on pc, is that normal? It's ok but when I made a version on pc I had another problem, but I'll put that in a seperate question. Thankyou for reading and eventually answering my question.
Anatoli Posted January 14, 2002 Posted January 14, 2002 Mac for Mac and PC for PC, that is the normal way.
dynaflash Posted February 17, 2002 Posted February 17, 2002 Michele, Did you rebind your files on the PC using the binder for pc? Maybe I am off on how your version works (I use Dev 4.1) but I simply rebind my solutions in the pc binder and Voila! they work for the most part. The actual bound solution for mac will not run in the pc environment though!
danjacoby Posted February 17, 2002 Posted February 17, 2002 Gotta bind on the platform on which it'll be used. Additionally, there are different support files necessary for the bound solution to work (many more on Windows, all those ".DLL" files, etc.) Yeah, it's a pain in the @$$, but there is an upside: Once you have bound versions for both platforms, you can create an updated version on one platform, bind it, and (provided you used the same binding key, "dot-3" tag, etc.) replace the old solution files with the new ones for both platforms. At least you can if you're working on a Mac.
