Hi all

I was just wondering if there is anyway to change the way Filemaker validates records. I would like FM to validate each field as I tab through my layout.

At the moment Filemaker seems to validate the fields on submission of the record. The order in which the fields are validated after record submission does not take place in the order they appear on the current layout. Also changing the order the fields appear in a table does not seem to make a difference.

Could anyone please advise?

Ambiguous question

You can either right click on the field and add a script trigger (on exit) or alternatively a validation calculation (define field).

Sorry it's took so long to reply, I've been away for a while.

I knew there had to be a way. Thanks for pointing it out, your help is appreciated.
