sorting on summary field

not sure if this is the right area where to post this...?

I have created a summary field which is the average of one of the fields in my DB, say a price. I can produce a report which shows the various products listing the various outputs for this field and which shows for each product the summary (eg the average of the field in question).

e.g. Product A summary: av price = 30$

shop a - price = 50$

shop b - price = 40$

shop c - price = 20$

shop d - price = 10$ etc

What I want to do is produce a report which sorts the products by this average price so that, say, the product with the cheapest av price is first and so forth. It seems one can't produce a report where this summary field is used to sort. Alternatively can I save this average into a field and then use this to sort the records.

Any help much appreciated.
