VincentO'B Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 Hi Does anyone have any recent experience integrating FM 10 and an accounting package, I am aware of the export import routine but I was hoping to find something that would enable me to have a live connection where the data would flow from FM to the accounts software, what is the easiest way to do this without having to learn a programming language if indeed it is possible. I would consider a plug in if necessary. Hoping someone has done this recently and can point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance. Vinny.
bcooney Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 Which acctng package? I've used FM Books Connector by Productive Computing FM Books with success.
VincentO'B Posted May 13, 2010 Author Posted May 13, 2010 Any I am still shopping. FMBooks connector looks like it may do the job, I will download a demo and have a play around with it. It looks fairly straight forward, did you have any problems or did it work out of the box. Thank you for reply Vinny
bcooney Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 I had no problems and Prod Computing was very supportive. Windows-only, though.
VincentO'B Posted May 15, 2010 Author Posted May 15, 2010 Yes I noticed the Windows only, unfortunately the group I am developing for is Mac only. I shall keep looking. Thanks for your help, much appreciated. Vinny

VincentO'B Posted May 15, 2010 Author Posted May 15, 2010 Yessssss, at first glance that looks exactly like what I am looking for, why could I find that! Just got MYOB as well perfect. Time to roll up my sleeves, hang on it's saturday. Vinny
HunterBoss Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 We haven't moved over to them yet but the one we're planning on going to is MoneyWorks. http://www.cognito.co.nz/ It's truly cross platform like FileMaker. The server version is set up very much like FileMaker and the license includes plug-ins to make it run with FileMaker. I thought that part was pretty cool. Christopher
