FM and accounting package

Featured Replies

Hi

Does anyone have any recent experience integrating FM 10 and an accounting package, I am aware of the export import routine but I was hoping to find something that would enable me to have a live connection where the data would flow from FM to the accounts software, what is the easiest way to do this without having to learn a programming language if indeed it is possible.

I would consider a plug in if necessary. Hoping someone has done this recently and can point me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance.

Vinny.

Which acctng package?

I've used FM Books Connector by Productive Computing FM Books with success.

Any I am still shopping.

FMBooks connector looks like it may do the job, I will download a demo and have a play around with it.

It looks fairly straight forward, did you have any problems or did it work out of the box.

Thank you for reply

Vinny

I had no problems and Prod Computing was very supportive. Windows-only, though.

Yes I noticed the Windows only, unfortunately the group I am developing for is Mac only. I shall keep looking.

Thanks for your help, much appreciated.

We haven't moved over to them yet but the one we're planning on going to is MoneyWorks.

It's truly cross platform like FileMaker. The server version is set up very much like FileMaker and the license includes plug-ins to make it run with FileMaker. I thought that part was pretty cool.
