Parsing a name with a middle inital

Does anyone have a quick script or calculation for parsing a full name? (some with a middle initial an some without) The calculation would parse a name in a field called full name and put the first name in the first name field, middle initial (if there is one) in the middle initial field and he last name in the last name field.
