I have a client with FM Server on a Windows machine - I don't know the operating system. They are able to access the Admin Console while within the network but I am unable to access it from outside of the network (I'm working remotely). This URL - http://clientIP:16000 - simple returns "Failed to open page".

More information, according to the client:

1. FM Server is installed on one machine.

2. Ports 16000 and 16001 are open.

3. Client has my IP address to allow me to get through the firewall.

4. I am able access the db file remotely.

5. I am able to access the db file via IWP.

6. The IWP IP - http://www.clientIP/fmi/iwp/res/iwp_home.html - is the same IP listed above (clientIP:16000).

Can anyone think of a reason why I am unable to load the page?

Thanks.

The traffic for port 16000 is probably not forwarded in the NAT / port forwarding section of their router's setup.

Thanks, Wim. I will relay this message onto the client and see if that works.

...another reason could be that access via server admin console was restricted to certain IP addresses or the local network. See server "configuration:general:admin console" in the server settings in admin console (for those who have access).
