ok, here's a simple question, I think. I want to highlight (fill color of light yellow) the active field. Is there an easy way to do this?

It is a little counterintuitive. You set the fill color of the field to light yellow. You create a conditional format, formula 1, fill color white (or whatever).

The conditional format is not evaluated when the cursor is in the field.
