Newbies spikenorth Posted July 20, 2010 Newbies Posted July 20, 2010 I have had a look at Install OnTimer Script and notice that is calculates in second(s) intervals to make use of it. I want to write a script (like a cron job) to enable a particular (existing) script to run every Monday morning at one minute past midnight. (not every seven days, but specifically Monday 00:01:00). Can you help me with this please?
Newbies TracieR Posted July 22, 2010 Newbies Posted July 22, 2010 (edited) I was just doing a search for this exact same issue. I want to send an email reminder to my team once a week if there are work requests in my system over 30 days old. Got that part done no problem, but I cannot figure out how to "schedule" with FileMaker. I only want to send once a week otherwise I will be "naggy" instead of "efficient." We have FileMaker server, but have not yet installed. Is that my answer somehow? I'll push to get it done if you can confirm. Thanks! Edited July 22, 2010 by Guest I want to automate so I don't have to "remember" to send it and if I'm gone, they will still be reminded.
bruceR Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 Yes, FileMaker Server is the answer. It is always running; individual FileMaker apps are not. You can create schedules in FileMaker Server.
