TKnTexas Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 I have the middle steps of my script worked out in doing sub-scripts. Where my problem is: I want to start the script with opening Import in a specific directory where the USER can select the file to be import. It is the mapped network drive J: When the file is selected I want it to immediately do all the steps I have worked out. The last step is giving me a headache, but I do feel it is a little easier to do. The results derived by the intermediate script steps is to create an export file that needs to have a specific name and save to a different directory. I can create the file name with a calculation: pospayMMDDYY.txt (tab-separated) and saved in G:apcheckspositivepay But I just can't work out these steps. Three master scripts would be concluded if I could figure it out, any one have a suggestion. I am comfortable navigating without these scripts using my Runtime. I just want to make it supereasy for those co-workers who might use it that have never seen Filemaker.
Jeff M Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Perhaps I'm missing something, but can't you just add the "Import Records" script step, but not check the 'perform without dialog' checkbox? That would essentially stop the script until the user selects a record to import.
