Michael Ashley Posted September 3, 2010 Share Posted September 3, 2010 I've confirmed using external data sources both on FMSA11 and Filemaker desktop. I cloned a database of 4000 records (all heavy media files in web viewers), and then pointed to the served data source. Works great, and performance was dramatically improved. We are designing lightweight iPad/iPhone interfaces that read/write to the external data sources on our server. The actual connection file contains only the interace, as bcooney described.
