Jredeemer14 Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 Hello I have a perplexing problem. I have the same database hosted at austinmichael.com and fmgateway.com. They both have the same issue. If I connect to my database hosted on either site on Filemaker Go using WIFI, it works beautifully. If I'm using 3G, It will not connect. It won't recognize either sites and won't open the databases. Not to complicate matters, but it might be useful to know, that if I'm on 3G and use VPN to connect to my network at work. I can connect to the databases on either hosting site, no problem (though it is obviously slow going over 3G through VPN back through 3G) My thought is this is either a hosting issue or a port issue on the ipad itself(anyway to change that?). Any Thoughts?
Jredeemer14 Posted August 19, 2010 Author Posted August 19, 2010 Just an update. It seems to be isolated to the WiFi+3G iPad. I tested it on an iphone 4 with Filemaker Go using only 3G and the databases open up just fine. While obviously they are different OS (iOS 4 vs iOS3). It shouldn't make that big of a difference should it?
Lee Smith Posted August 19, 2010 Posted August 19, 2010 Both the iPhone and iPad have update firmware and os available for download.
Jredeemer14 Posted August 19, 2010 Author Posted August 19, 2010 iPhone iOS 4.0.2 Running Filemaker Go 1.0.3 iPad iOS 3.2.2 Running Filemaker Go 1.0.3 Probably not a (current at the time) Operating system being up to date issue.
