keyboard shortcut for the script debugger

Featured Replies

i need to switch this thing on/off so often that it would be great to just hit a shortcut instead of reaching for the mouse and choosing it from a menu.

something off-the-wall like ctrl-shift and a function key would be fine.

Hi

on Win: ALT + TD ( or Alt + td )

You can define a keyboard shortcut for any function in the Keyboard and Mouse section of Leopard and Snow Leopard System Preferences (and maybe earlier, I don't know).

i looked and the same thing is possible on tiger. i tried two different combinations and it didn't work, i.e. the script debugger did not get invoked.

if it did, i'd be happy, but i still think it's a valid feature request. think of how many features we have now that required a lot of twiddling to get the same effect in earlier versions.

Script Disabling. I frequently have wanted something like this in longer scripts. When I'm working on a problem in one part of the script, I want the script to just run the part I am working on. Now that's easy by just disabling the lines I don't want to run with the Disable button in the Script Edit dialog box.
