spragueg Posted September 19, 2000 Posted September 19, 2000 1. I defined an ODBC data source 2. I imported data base on a status field meeting certain criteria. What I would like to do now is update the data source and change the status field to show that the records have been imported into FMP. I don't see what use ODBC connectivity for FMP is with out this function. Could someone help? Thanks G

There are also several plugins that extend FMP's ODBC capabilities. Do a search on Filemaker's website for them. ------------------ =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Kurt Knippel Consultant Database Resources mailto:[email protected] http://www.database-resources.com =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

You have to setup a FMP client as an ODBC data source and pull that information into your destination like any other ODBC source. Again, there are plugins available that do provide more extensive functionality than what is available in the Data Companion plugin. ------------------ =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Kurt Knippel Consultant Database Resources mailto:[email protected] http://www.database-resources.com =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
