madman411 Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 hi all. i'm trying to create a runtime solution to run on a windows computer. problem is, i'm creating it on a mac. how would i convert this in to an exe application? i have read on here about 'inno setup' but from what i can tell, it's only for windows. i am using filemaker pro adv 10.
TheTominator Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 You need to install and use the Windows version of FileMaker Advanced to create a Windows .exe runtime. Since the Windows version of FileMaker requires Microsoft Windows, you cannot do this directly in Mac OS X. You need to have Microsoft Windows and use a dedicated Windows box, BootCamp, or a virtual environment such as Parallels, VMWare Fusion, or VirtualBox.
bcooney Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 Inno Setup is an installer. It'll let you place files in a specific directory, create shortcuts, have a click-thru license, etc.
