September 29, 201015 yr Is there a script so that a quicktime video automatically plays? Maybe something I can put in the layout open? I have a container in another layout that when clicked opens up a new window to play that movie. I'd like it to start playing automatically instead of having the user click on the video again and then on the play button.
September 29, 201015 yr There is... you would need a single line of script, and the above! But playing with the dropbox linked template reveals another problem ... everything is locked for the duration of the movie, only interruptible by the keystrokes cmnd-dot!!! Checkout this template: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2805213/Nyt%20arkiv.zip This could lead in another direction, the web-object for a more convenient way to handle the matter, but opening other issues with the actual storage of each of the snippets of film ... because eventhoug you can store the entire html and the movie converted to animated flash or gif as text - should it then be exported on demand and the assembled and rendered in the webviewer ... very likely to give a slight delay. I was on this path this summer, because we wanted a handheld scanner to play a sound snippet, as a warning if a barcode was either scanned before or have other uses than our. We had either good or bad sound snippets which our users should be able to distinguish clearly. But it proved way to slow to have it as a quicktime in a containerfield ... and we turned to this instead: http://fmforums.com/forum/showpost.php?post/359692/ --sd
