Dialog Plugins :(

Featured Replies

I've found several, but none that are priced appropriately for me that do what I need.

Basically, I'm building something that will probably be freeware. There is a small chance that I could sell it for $5, but as soon as a plug-in vendor wants me to buy a $500 distribution license, for example, that pretty much makes it cost-prohibitive.

My problem is that I'm running into the limitations of the FM dialog system. The things I desperately need are:

- More buttons

- Buttons that can house more text

Things like other controls, lists, modal stuff, etc... would all be awesome, but I don't specifically *need* them (at least not yet).

I've tried DialogPlugin, which is free, and it offers more buttons, but not bigger ones. The other options I've looked at are all really pricey. Thanks in advance for any ideas/suggestions.

Explore creating your own dialogs in the Groovy dialect of Java via the free ScriptMaster plug-in.

Explore using a dedicated layout for your dialog.

Open up a new window.

Control size and position.

Control modality via Allow User Abort[].

You could try emailing the Plugin developer and see if he can add an option for making buttons bigger, he's always been very helpful when I've emailed him.

24U has a free license option for freeware developers:
