How can I get the TotalRecCount from many files?

Be it a plugin maybe?

I have a large list of purged FM history files.. than I have stored there filename a file

'DJ10-01-201-092600AM.fp7'

Any idea hoe or where I can just get the totalRecord count for each fm file?

why? I have a Importing process that brings back multiple of these dated files back into one daily journal file when assembled I have total records of all.... I like to compare the individual files?

There is a Get(TotalRecordCount) function, but the file has to be open. There's no way to get a record count of a FileMaker table without opening the file.
