How to chart data based on various dates not consecutive

Featured Replies

Hello all. I am trying to chart lab values for patients that had the tests done on various dates that are not linear. The graphs show the dates on the x axis but one after the other and not spread out as they should appropriate ti the time between dates. ie:

y x

Any help all?

Unfortunately, that is how Filemaker native charting works: the x values are merely labels, and they are assumed to be uniformly spaced.

I have the same issue.

There must be a work around out there. I havent got the foggiest idea what it would look like, but we can't be the only ones or the first ones with this issue. Let me know if you find something, I'll do likewise.

OP

The workaround is to use another charting engine - through either a plugin or the web viewer.

Right! Now I just have to figure that out without looking like an idiot...

Filemaker native charting is a new feature. Search the forum (or the web) for charting methods before version 11.

Google docs does it! Solved. Now I just need to set up import from google docs and win!
