iCal Scripting w/o PlugIns

Featured Replies

Dear Forum Members

I am trying to create a simple iCal integration with FileMaker. I think it must be fairly easy to:

-request available calendars

-create an appointment in that calendar

The main goal is to sync iCal to the iPhone / iPad

My sample file hangs somewhere - my AppleScripting knowledge is low.

Any help about this?

Thank you so much, cheers

Check out the post by ryangrg: export to iCal

Thank you for your answer

I got this one before. but cannot figure out how to make it work, probably has something to do with the time formats (I get error #-30720)

Another hint, sample file I missed?

Cheers, the sun is shining here :

The file from ryangrg works fine for me. The time, date and 'all day' fields must be formatted exactly as in the example. I've made some minor edits to the file to enforce these formats using Filemakers standard Time and Date formats as well as a value list for 'All day'.

BTW. I have no clue how as to why this would help you sync iCal to the iPhone/iPad... You could use MobileMe or Gmail for that purpose.
