I will admit, relationships are not my fortay. : (heck nothing appears to be) /pity party

Can someone please assist in showing me the correct way to set up these sorts of relationships. I have dodgied it up before where I created a script to create the record (relationship) and so the value list will work. It's annoying, not to mention wrong.

The scenario is:

You have an event

You add an artist to that event

You select your artwork which is filtered by the artist selected above.

I can get everything above to work (v.nice filter) EXCEPT the record (aka the key) is not there until the record is created. i.e on a new portal row the drop down list won't appear. On an existing record it displays beautifully >

Please assist in this v.bad way in which I am doing this /self taught novice.
