Aussie John Posted February 11, 2011 Share Posted February 11, 2011 Hi - I want to use Excel's external data>>database query to drag info from my filemaker file. I have downloaded the Actual technologies pack and in the OBDC manager I selected the DSN option but am not sure which driver option to use as none seem quite right (Access, open source database, oracle, SQL server). at this stage I want to run filemaker and excel on the same local machine. ( i tried the access option but that seems to be for FM to be the client not the source) Any help to move forward would be good thanks. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
bcooney Posted February 11, 2011 Share Posted February 11, 2011 Hmm. I didn't install anything extra and I was able to select Data>Get External Data>Import from FM Pro. This lets you select a file, specify import mapping, and then how/if you want to refresh the import on File>Open. Is this what you want? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
