February 15, 201114 yr Hi, I want to print Barcode Labels from Filemaker that survive -40 Degrees (Celsius! Thats blinking cold... in a Freezer. Can someone recommend a good printer and labels that can print directly from Filemaker, given I use the ID Automation plugin for Filemaker to create the barcodes? As the conditions in the freezer can be *wet* also, I'm looking for some kind of sealed label I think. There is a printer from a company called Zebra (www.zebra.com) but it prints only via a strange application and not directly under Windows XP via a printerdriver to the printer; so this sounds like its not what I want. Does anyone have suggestions, experiences? A Labelwriter would be fine, but that cant print sealed labels no? Thanks Spongebob
May 15, 201114 yr Just saw your post. We print barcodes from filemaker for a molecular lab (all the way to LN2) and use Zebra printers. There are Mac and Windows drivers (built into mac) and Brady sells very good labels for freezing. I could provide ordering info for you if you like. Email me. Also, we print the barcodes using PHP or Java.
