Portal inside Sub-Summary report

I have a portal that shows records from another table in a layout that I wish to generate a sub-summary report. When I switch to Preview to generate the report the portal starts displaying the results for only 1 record instead of all the records as it originally was.

Is there any way around this?

Print from a layout that is based on the portal items table rather than the layout based on the table showing the portal
