ralph.nusser Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 I have CHAR 1 to CHAR 10 as layout object. I could not copy and paste it with FM11 WIN and FM11 MAC. Ralph Nusser Sogetes Computer-Services Layout Object not Copyable_MAC_and_WIN.fp7.zip
comment Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Isn't that a good thing? After all, these characters are non-printing codes and they make no sense in a text object, AFAICS. Anyway, I believe clipboard formats were changed in v.11, and all these characters except Char(9) are illegal in XML - which I think is what the internal FM clipboard is using. You can still paste to another application and back from there.
ralph.nusser Posted March 26, 2011 Author Posted March 26, 2011 If there are restrictions with certain characters the exceptions should be documented. AFAIK this is undocumented behavior – trial and error with UTF-8 testing. Inadvertently in the attachment there are ["junk" (COMMENT)] alias "illegal" characters in the formula (e.g. CHAR 11). Custom Function not Copyable.fp7.zip
comment Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 And now? Custom Function Copyable.zip --- P.S. You almost had me concluding this was a bug. You really ought to be more careful about pasting junk into a calculation formula. PP.S Please edit your previous post: That is not a quote of what I said.
