I'm completely new to FileMaker and I'm trying to learn it on my own. I need to create a contact database, which there already is a template for in FM11 advanced.

However, I want it to be able to do the following: when a new contact is added, I want to be able to choose from 4 types of contacts from a drop-down list. This I have been able to figure out myself, so it's done.

What I need help with is the following: when I choose one of the 4 types, I want a couple of extra categories added, depending on which type I choose. I THINK I need a script for this. Something along the lines of "if type X, then add categories "expertise", "current project" etc.

Can someone help?
