March 30, 201114 yr Newbies I'm completely new to FileMaker and I'm trying to learn it on my own. I need to create a contact database, which there already is a template for in FM11 advanced. However, I want it to be able to do the following: when a new contact is added, I want to be able to choose from 4 types of contacts from a drop-down list. This I have been able to figure out myself, so it's done. What I need help with is the following: when I choose one of the 4 types, I want a couple of extra categories added, depending on which type I choose. I THINK I need a script for this. Something along the lines of "if type X, then add categories "expertise", "current project" etc. Can someone help? Thanks in advance!
March 30, 201114 yr Are these categories a number of separate fields or one other field with a list of categories? Or something else?
