fed Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 I have a solution which I am now trying to use on another computer. I can open the file using the password, but I can't add records or modify them. I get the error: "This action cannot be performed because the field is not modifiable." I have searched and searched, but cannot figure out why this is occurring. Please help. Thanks, Fed

fed Posted May 12, 2011 Author Posted May 12, 2011 The file. In fact, now I have determined that when I make a DB on a computer (all Mac OSX), move it to my main computer, then move it back to the first computer, without even opening it, I can no longer modify the file. Strange. Must be something with OSX, I suppose. Any ideas?

fed Posted May 12, 2011 Author Posted May 12, 2011 Thanks. I also found it here: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.4/en/mh669.html
