Objects in Preview mode not displaying properly

I have a report layout that in composed of a header, subsummary, grand summary and footer. I've omitted the body of the record. It's designed to tabulate results for various categories and only display the totals.

When I switch to preview mode (which is the only place I can view the summary totals), something strange happens. The first line (or couple of lines, depending on the file) displays properly, but the following ones are indented about an inch. If I switch back to browse mode and return to preview, it usually fixes the problem.

To clarify, the preview looks a bit like this [The periods are represent blank spaces]:

Subsummary data for the first group.

.....Subsummary data for the second group.

.....Subsummary data for the third group.

.....Subsummary data for the fourth group. Etc.....

They should all be line up flush on the left. I've checked my layouts and I don't see anything that would cause this.

Any ideas?:

Thanks,

LR

Preview is dependant partially on the specific printer, as well as the zoom scale, as well as the various page setup settings. At best it is an approximation of what will appear on the page.

Macintosh systems appear to preview more accurately, but still leave much room for error.

Remember also that FMP is attempting to "accurately" represent a 300dpi output on a 72dpi device. Aside from any other issues, that is more than a 16 times reduction in information.

What I always do is to get as close approximation of the layout as the screen makes possible, then I start working off of printouts. Many times the display on the screen looks all screwed up, but the printout is accurate and that is the most important thing.
