Newbies FileShakerPro Posted June 12, 2011 Newbies Posted June 12, 2011 Hi guys, I'm using FMP to manage a conference going on at my school. I'm familiar with basic operations (within the limit of my job), although I am not very experienced with FMP. So far I'm really impressed with it's speed and capability. Anyway, every time I start up FMP, after I log in, and then select the database from the menu that comes up, it shows me a splash screen of a picture (which turns into the browsing window where i can select layout, etc.) and then another window pops up on top of that which appears to be a list of some of the data in the database. If this is unclear, please see pictures below. How do I prevent FMP from opening this second window? Is it running a script? It is not a huge annoyance, but it would be better if I could prevent this list from popping up every time, since I have to exit it out every time anyway. Thank you for your advice and help in advance, S. Shaker ____________ Menu: menu.bmp Splash screen picture: splash.bmp Unwanted list: list.bmp
bcooney Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 This solution is running a script on open that shows all these windows. To change this behavior, you'd need to contact the developer.
Newbies FileShakerPro Posted June 19, 2011 Author Newbies Posted June 19, 2011 Thank you for your response. What do you mean by "running a script that shows all these windows"? I'm trying to prevent this extra window from popping up. Could you be more specific, I apologize.
Aussie John Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Your file is set to run a script at startup. If you have admin privileges this is controllable from the file>> file options menus. If you dont wish this to happen and you dont have full access then you would need to contact the person who has.
