July 27, 201114 yr I have a PDF form that I have made and set the security settings to be able to be edited and saved in Acrobat Reader. I have tested it and it works fine. I then have this in a container field which Scribe personalises by placing the client's name in the PDF and renames the file with the client's code and a timestamp. When the client opens this in Acrobat reader after it has been personalised they get an error that says this file has been modified and can't be saved. Is there a way around this? Thanks.
July 28, 201114 yr I believe this is part of the "extended features" functionality of the PDF document you have created. These documents cannot be modified once they have been edited and saved the first time. You will need to disable the "extended functionality" of this document, which is what prevents it from being able to be edited multiple times.
July 28, 201114 yr Author So if Scribe edits and saves a PDF form, can this then be edited and saved by someone with Acrobat Reader?
July 28, 201114 yr This is the bit that allows Adobe to get lots of money for you to buy Acrobat Pro The Extend Reader feature can be turned on after the event using ScriptMaster if you are smart with AutoIt on PC, my favourite, or probably AppleScript if you can find someone to help
