Scribe Entering data into a word form

Featured Replies

Hi !

I have a word form that i want to populate from Filemaker. I downloaded your test file but the examples are not clear to me. Can you show me a simple example of how to do this ? If this works as i hope I plan to purchase a license for multiple users in our organization.

Thanks..

Using the Scribe test file navigate to Sample Scripts on the left, then you will want to go to the tab "Write to Field" (under the tab "Read and Write Documents"). You should be able to right click on the field and insert the file. Then fill in one of the field names (defined in the document) and the corresponding value you want filled in. Then you can export the file and view the modified contents. In an actual solution this would be implemented differently to handle the entire document through a script but you should be able to get the general idea of Scribe's functionality. Hope this helps.

We can also help you with the scripting if you are unfamiliar with writing scripts like this, or if you find this to be too complex. Our rate is $165/hour. Give me a call and we can talk about what features you are looking to add to your solution and I can get you a quote.
