Disabling Built-In Layout Selector

Featured Replies

Is there any way to disable the icon/button on the lower left which, when clicked, shows the user the list of layouts for their selection.

My reason for wanting this is that I've built in other layout selection buttons tied to scripts which re-size the layout screens to meet the needs of each unique layout. That works well, but when someone uses the built in layout selector, I have no control over the size of the screen/layout the user is taken to.

Thanks.

In the layout setup, uncheck the "include in layout menus" option for each of the layouts.

Thanks for your reply. I've done that but was still hoping to avoid the confusion that will arise when a user clicks the link and all that comes up is an empty list of layouts.

The FM GO developer guide is available on the FM Web site. From what I read (and practised) you cannot remove the menu selector, unless you turn off the status panel. There's a few other curious oddities compared to FMPro. One in particular is about using custom menus:

1. If you remove menu items using custom menus, then they still display, but greyed out.

2. Additional menus don't show at all.
