Howdy,

A brief intro. I have been using FM since it first arrived on the scene way back in the Mac Plus days. Nothing too serious, mind you, just that I really liked how it was able to do a lot of things that needed to be done and could be made to do so easily (relatively speaking). However, I must admit that my very first ever "paid for" database "job" was done in OMNIS 3 +; FM just didn't have the horsepower at the time.

Fast forward about 25 years and as of Monday, 19 SEP 2011, the company I have been contracted to for the last year has finally become a FM "shop"! They purchased the FM Server + 10 FMP bundle and upgraded the server to Advanced! My year of nagging ("salesmanship" ?) paid off, so now the "fun" begins! Three solutions are in the final stage of development so it looks as though I will be on this forum regularly to glean whatever I can, and hopefully at some point, post back what I have learned. No stranger to this "model" as I have well over 3,000 posts on the Joomla! Forum, helping others get the most out of that CMS.
