Can I have Sliding content in my header panel?

Featured Replies

I am trying to print a report that normally has a portal in it. So to print the portal info I have gone to the portal table and I am printing a list view to get all the info from the portal into my report. In order to get all the other info in the report I was going to place it into the header but there is a paragraph of copy that would vary from report to report and I was hoping to slide this up but it doesn't seem to want to work when I preview the report. Anyone have any ideas? As usual I am sure this is a very basic problem to solve but us newbee's have to start somewhere.

Thanks in advance for all your help,

Place the 'parent' information in a leading sub-summary part and then sort your report by this part. Headers, Titles and footers can't slide. Also it must be preview mode.

I created a leading sub-summary part but it still did not slide.

any thoughts?

You need to select all objects in the part that you want to slide and then either:

Inspector > Position tab (at bottom) Sliding & Visibility and set all objects to slide up. And you must also check 'resize enclosing part.' If prior to Insector, it is Format > Set Sliding/Printing.

I should have remembered to tell you that before. It is also important that it be pre-sorted by the leading part's field.
