Dear All,

I am working on Exporting the record of my FileMaker file in another FileMaker file which is stored in FM Server in different machine. Both the files are different in both FM Server and Client. In client file, there will be button named Export. After clicking this button, It will Export the record of the File to the server file.

I am using : fmnet://192.168.2.4/iPad

but it is not working.

Please provide me with a solution.

Thanks in advance.

Can you describe the mechanism that you have in mind a little better?

Do you have the local file and the hosted file open in your FMP?

Wim,

Actually I want to sync the data between the file which is there in FileMaker server and the files which are there in FileMaker iPhone and iPad and some where else. I want these all to be sync with the data of file in FileMaker server.

I hope it is clear to you.

Thanks...

You might want to check this out:

http://fmforums.com/forum/topic/79217-sync-for-filemaker-go/

If that doesn't do what you want, post back and we can discuss alternatives. Know though that it's not a trivial matter to sync data between FM Go and FM Server

Wim,

I am trying for the same results, but I want to know the logics of it, that how the three files are working with each other.

How do you want the syncing to be? iDevice to FMS only? Or full two-way sync? Are we talking about just new records or do you have to take care of looking for modified fields in existing records?
