January 11, 201214 yr Currently I print encounter sheets with FMP using the Print step. It works great, but we are now going paperless, and want to print PDFs instead. I can select Print to PDF in OSX, but it save using the same filename each time. Is there a way to automate the filename, such as using client name and date?
January 11, 201214 yr Why don't you use the Save Records As PDF[] script step. Then you can use a variable to specify the file path - see: http://www.filemaker.com/11help/html/create_db.8.32.html#1030283
January 11, 201214 yr Author I need a lot of formatting that your suggestion does not allow. Thank you anyhow.
January 11, 201214 yr Author I need 2 columns, same demographics on all pages at the top, and My ID at the bottom of each page.
January 11, 201214 yr What makes you think saving records as PDF wouldn't allow 2 columns? I am not sure what you mean by the other two, but it seems like a simple header/footer arrangement, which is also possible.
January 11, 201214 yr Author I didn't think your could use header footers, or two columns in Save Record as PDF. I tried and couldn't get it working.
January 11, 201214 yr Author I am sorry. I tried again, and it works just fine. The formatting is fine, etc. Thank you very much for that. This will simplify things greatly!
